Nursery

Our nursery is our great pride. The surface area is about 2 acres which is divided into open ground and container products. It is located in the renowned greenport Boskoop. The peatland in this area is ideal for growing ornamental plants. The central location of our nursery allows us to quickly and efficiently offer a wide variety of trees and plants, both of own culture and from our trusted suppliers. By having our own nursery, we preserve, and where possible expand the professional knowledge and experience we have gained over the years. In our opinion this is crucial for our business operation. Our knowledge also allows us to select quality products from suppliers we trust.

How we grow

We cultivate many different species at our nursery, and are specialized in growing Acer, Betula, Cornus, Magnolia, Viburnum and Wisteria. Our assortment in Wisterias is particularly rich. Please take a look at all the varieties of Wisterias on offer.

Care, attention and craft are important to us, resulting in high quality products. For example, we pay much attention to cultivating straight whips for growing on. In addition to this, the root structure of the plants is also crucial. In order to get a fibrous root system we transplant our stock at least once every two years. A strong root structure is also stimulated by root-pruning in August or September. 

Automation & quality

We continuously explore potential innovations within the sector. Quality is the most important criterion in choosing such innovations. Examples of changes we have implemented are the automatic watering of our container products, mechanical lifting by winch and mechanical digging round of rootballs. Besides an efficiency gain, these last two have improved the working conditions of our employees.
